Amendment of section 15

Section 15 of the Stamp Ordinance is hereby amended by inserting immediately after subsection (7) thereof the following new subsection: —“(8) The exemption provided by this section shall extend to apply to a reconstruction or amalgamation where the transferee company is a company incorporated or registered outside Singapore but has been carrying on business through an existing company in Singapore which is a branch or subsidiary of the transferee company.”.
