Regulation 31

Religious instruction

Aided schools conducted by religious organisations may provide religious instruction distinctive of their beliefs:Provided that —

(a)

no pupil shall be required to attend such religious instruction or any religious observance whose parent has signified in writing his wish that his child shall not so attend;

(b)

attendance at any religious instruction or religious observance must not be made a condition of admission; and

(c)

the time devoted to any religious instruction and religious observance is additional to that required for school subjects in Government schools.
