Definitions
In these Rules —“licence”, in relation to a motor vehicle, means a vehicle licence issued under Part I of the Act;“licence fee”, in relation to a motor vehicle, means the fee of the appropriate amount as specified in the Second or Sixth Schedule to the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules (R 5) that is payable for the issue or renewal of a licence for the motor vehicle;“light goods vehicle”, “heavy goods vehicle” and “goods-cum-passengers vehicle” shall have the same meanings as in the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules;“relevant period” means the period from 1st September 2000 to 31st August 2001 (both dates inclusive).
