Regulation 21

Oral hearing — rights of accused officer

Subregulation 1

At the oral hearing, the accused officer may —

(a)

give evidence on his or her own behalf;

(b)

call witnesses on his or her own behalf; and

(c)

cross-examine other witnesses.

Subregulation 2

If a document is to be admitted in evidence at the oral hearing, the accused officer must be given access to the information in the document at a reasonable time before the document is admitted.

Subregulation 3

To avoid doubt, the Committee is not responsible for securing the attendance of any witness whom the accused officer wishes to call.
