Regulation 21

Use of Operations Manual

Subregulation 1

An AOC holder must carry out every operation of a large aeroplane in accordance with the procedures and limitations specified in an Operations Manual that is approved by the Director‑General of Civil Aviation under the Air Navigation (119 — Air Operator Certification) Regulations 2018.

Subregulation 2

Before an amendment to the approved Operations Manual may be relied upon for an operation of a large aeroplane, the AOC holder must obtain the approval of the Director‑General of Civil Aviation, under the Air Navigation (119 — Air Operator Certification) Regulations 2018, for the amendment.

Subregulation 3

An AOC holder must —

(a)

provide every member of its operations personnel with a copy of the approved Operations Manual containing all the instructions and information necessary for the performance of that member’s duties; and

(b)

ensure that every member of its operations personnel has ready access to a copy of the approved Operations Manual, or to those parts of the Operations Manual that relate to that member’s duties.
