Citation
This Notification may be cited as the Residential Property (Exemption — Transfers of HDB Shophouses) Notification.
Definition
For the purposes of this Notification, “HDB shophouse” means a flat that —
is or has been sold or leased by the Housing and Development Board under section 24 of the Housing and Development Act (Cap. 129); and
is comprised in a building —
of not more than 6 levels including the ground level and any level below the ground;
which is approved by the competent authority under the Planning Act (Cap. 232) for use as a dwelling-house and as a shop or other commercial establishment; and
which is not subdivided into 2 or more strata units.
Exemption
A foreign person shall be exempted from the provisions of the Act in respect of any transfer of a HDB shophouse to him.
