of Residential Property (Exemption — Transfers of HDB Shophouses) Notification

Regulation 2

Definition

For the purposes of this Notification, “HDB shophouse” means a flat that —

(a)

is or has been sold or leased by the Housing and Development Board under section 24 of the Housing and Development Act (Cap. 129); and

(b)

is comprised in a building —

(i)

of not more than 6 levels including the ground level and any level below the ground;

(ii)

which is approved by the competent authority under the Planning Act (Cap. 232) for use as a dwelling-house and as a shop or other commercial establishment; and

(iii)

which is not subdivided into 2 or more strata units.
