Regulation 6

In these Regulations, except where otherwise provided, a reference to the Administration and to an officer of the Administration shall be read as references to the Director and a surveyor of ships respectively and references to the nominated surveyor or recognised organisation including its grammatical variations and cognate expressions shall be read as references to an authorised organisation respectively.

For the purposes of regulations 5.2 and 8.4 of Annex IV, references to the Administration shall be read as a reference to the Director and a reference to any persons or organisations duly authorised by the Administration including its grammatical variations and cognate expressions shall be read as a reference to an authorised organisation, respectively.
