Regulation 8

The loss or destruction of a Medal shall, if the replacement is desired, be reported by the recipient to the Commissioner of Civil Defence who may, if he is satisfied that the circumstances in which the loss or destruction occurred are such as to justify replacement, approve the replacement subject to payment made by the recipient to cover the cost of replacement thereof. No such report shall be made until 6 months after the alleged loss or destruction.
