Merchant Shipping (Authorised Organisations) Regulations is Singapore Subsidiary Legislation, cited as Subsidiary Legislation MSA-RG18 1995, currently marked in force and first recorded in 1995.
Citation
These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Authorised Organisations) Regulations.
Authorised organisations
The Director may appoint any organisation under section 5(1) of the Act and authorise such organisation to survey or inspect Singapore ships and to issue any certificate under Part V of the Act, subject to such terms and conditions as he considers fit.
Transitional provision
A certificate issued by an authorised organisation under the revoked Merchant Shipping (Authorised Organisations) Regulations (Rg 18, 1997 Ed.) or the cancelled Notification relating to Approved Organisations for Surveying Ships (N 2) shall continue in force for such period specified in the certificate or until it is cancelled in accordance with the provisions of the Act, as if these Regulations had not been enacted.
