Regulation 2

Compoundable offences

The following offences may be compounded by the Board in accordance with section 29 of the Act:

(a)

any offence under section 13(4), 17(3) or 18(7) of the Act; and

(b)

any offence under section 25(4) of the Act in connection with any failure to comply with section 25(1) of the Act involving —

(i)

the carrying out of any practice of optometry or opticianry by a qualified person otherwise than in accordance with the prescribed conditions; or (ii)the carrying out of any practice of optometry or opticianry by a person who does not have in force a practising certificate which authorises him to carry out that practice.
