Prohibited practices
A licensee must not —
(a)
transfer an embryo into the body of a woman who intends to give the child up for adoption;
(b)
engage in any practice or carry out any procedure, including sperm sorting techniques, for the purpose of selecting or creating an embryo for transfer on the basis of the sex of the embryo, except where a qualified assisted reproduction practitioner assesses that there is a clinical need to do so; or
(c)
perform mitochondrial replacement therapy.
