Regulation 3
Notification that person satisfies criteria to be platform operator
Subregulation 1
For the purposes of section 8(1)(a) of the Act, the prescribed time for a person to notify the Commissioner that the person satisfies the criteria to be a platform operator under section 4 of the Act is —
14 days starting on the date on which the person satisfies section 4(1) of the Act, unless sub‑paragraph (b) applies; or
in a case where the Commissioner determines, in accordance with section 10 of the Act, that the person is a platform operator — 14 days starting on the date the Commissioner informs the person of the Commissioner’s determination and requires the person to submit a notification under section 8(1) of the Act.
Subregulation 2
For the purposes of section 8(2)(a) of the Act, a notification under section 8(1) of the Act must include —
the identity particulars of the person;
the person’s trade name, if different from the person’s registered name or full name;
if the person is an individual — the person’s residential address;
if the person is an entity — the address of the person’s principal place of business or registered office;
the platform service or platform services provided by the person;
the identity particulars and address of a contact person; and
a telephone number and an email address by which the contact person mentioned in sub‑paragraph (f) can be contacted by the Commissioner.
Subregulation 3
In paragraph (2), “identity particulars” means —
for an individual who is a citizen or permanent resident of Singapore —
the full name of the individual; and
the NRIC number of the individual;
for an individual who is not a citizen or permanent resident of Singapore —
the full name of the individual; and
the foreign identification number or (if the individual does not have a foreign identification number) passport number of the individual;
for an entity that is formed, constituted or registered in Singapore under any written law —
the registered name of the entity; and
the Unique Entity Number (UEN) of the entity; and
for any other entity —
the full name of the entity; and
the country under whose law the entity was formed, constituted or registered.
