Clause 30

Transitional provisions and savings

(1)

Any civil or criminal proceeding pending in the Court of Appeal or the former Court of Criminal Appeal at the commencement of this Act shall continue and be determined in the Court of Appeal.

(2)

Any civil or criminal proceeding being part-heard in the Court of Appeal or the former Court of Criminal Appeal at the commencement of this Act shall continue before the Court of Appeal and in any such proceeding any Judge of the High Court sitting in that appeal shall be deemed to be a Judge of Appeal for the purposes of that proceeding notwithstanding that he has not been appointed as such under the Constitution.

(3)

Any reference to the Court of Criminal Appeal in any written law shall be construed as a reference to the Court of Appeal.
