Section 22

Register of contributions to be kept

(1)

A register shall be kept by the Directors in which shall be entered the date of the birth of every contributor and, if he is married, the dates of the births of his wife and children, if any, and all other dates and particulars respecting contributors and their families material to be recorded for the purposes of this Act.

(2)

Every public servant who enters the service of the Government shall, within 6 months after the date of so entering, notify to the Directors the date of his birth and, if he is a married man, the date of his marriage and of the births of his wife and children, if any, all duly proved to the satisfaction of the Directors by affidavit or otherwise.

(3)

Every contributor who marries or whose marriage is annulled or dissolved by the decree of a competent court shall within 3 months after the date of the marriage or the decree, as the case may be, notify the same to the Directors in writing and, in the case of his marriage, state the date of the birth of his wife, duly proved as aforesaid.

(4)

Every contributor shall notify the Directors in writing the birth of each child born to him within 3 months from the date of the birth, duly proved as aforesaid, and the marriage of any female child, under the age of 21 years, within 3 months from the date of the marriage, and also, within 3 months from the date of the event, the death of his wife or any of his pensionable children.

(5)

After the death of any contributor, notice of the death and of the birth of any posthumous child born to that contributor, duly proved as aforesaid, and of the marriage of any female child of that contributor, under the age of 21 years, and of the death of any child of that contributor, under the age of 21 years, shall be given in writing by the widow of that contributor to the Directors within 3 months after the date of the event.
