Exemption for individual who follows and takes manual control of specified vehicle
of Active Mobility (Loop Spoke & Hub Pte. Ltd. — Exemption for Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1) Order 2026
Section 16(1)(b) of the Act does not apply to an individual who takes manual control of a specified vehicle that is moving on a specified public path, under all of the following conditions:
the individual is authorised by Loop to follow the vehicle while it is moving on the specified public path, in order to —
monitor the vehicle’s movements and its surroundings; and
take manual control of the vehicle when there is a failure of its autonomous system or any other emergency that requires immediate action;
the taking of manual control of the vehicle is necessitated by such failure or emergency;
the common conditions in paragraph 7 are satisfied.
