Clause 42
The Penal Code (Cap. 224, 2008 Ed.) is amended —
(a)
by renumbering section 21 as subsection (1) of that section, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following subsection:“(2) Despite subsection (1), the words “public servant” in sections 175, 178, 179, 180 and 228 does not include a judge as defined in the Administration of Justice (Protection) Act 2016.”;
(b)
by deleting the words “; or, if the document or electronic record is to be produced or delivered up to a court of justice, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 6 months, or with fine which may extend to $3,000, or with both” in section 175; and
(c)
by deleting the Illustration in section 175.
