reg 1Citation and commencement

These Rules are the Animals and Birds (Fees) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2026 and come into operation on 1 December 2026.

reg 2Amendment of Schedule

In the Animals and Birds (Fees) Rules 2009 (G.N. No. S 125/2009), in the Schedule —

(a)

in item 15(a), replace “$26” with “$36”;

(b)

in item 15(b), replace “$35” with “$44”;

(c)

in item 16, replace “$68” with “$72”; and

(d)

in item 17(a) and (b), replace “$35” with “$44”.

reg 3Saving provisions

(1)

Despite rule 2, if a person (pursuant to a licence granted under section 8 of the Act) applies before 1 December 2026 for the quarantine of a cat or dog at a quarantine station, the fee payable for the quarantine is the fee specified in item 15 of the Schedule to the Animals and Birds (Fees) Rules 2009 as in force immediately before that date, whether the quarantine starts before, on or after that date.

Despite rule 2, if paragraph (1) applies to the quarantine of a cat or dog and the cat or dog (as the case may be) requires inspection and vaccination against rabies, the fee payable for the inspection and vaccination of the cat or dog (as the case may be) against rabies is the fee specified in item 16 of the Schedule to the Animals and Birds (Fees) Rules 2009 as in force immediately before 1 December 2026.

Subregulation 1
