Search for arms, etc.
(1)
The Licensing Officer may authorise, by writing —
any police officer to search any house for any guns, arms, explosives, explosive precursors or poisonous or noxious gas or noxious substance; and
the police officer to require any person to produce the person’s licence for the possession of guns, arms, explosives, explosive precursors or poisonous or noxious gas or noxious substance, and to produce or account for the things covered thereby.
(2)
A person who fails to give a satisfactory account to the police officer for any guns, arms, explosives, explosive precursors or poisonous or noxious gas or noxious substance in the person’s possession or under the person’s control during the existence or after the expiry, suspension or cancellation of a licence shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $1,000.
