Amendment of section 18
Section 18 of the principal Act is amended —
by inserting, immediately after the word “more” in subsection (1), the words “, and to a claimant who is a party to an adjudication if the claimed amount exceeds the adjudicated amount by the prescribed amount or more”;
by inserting, immediately after the words “a respondent” in subsection (2), the words “or a claimant”;
by inserting, immediately after the words “the respondent” in subsection (2), the words “or claimant”;
by deleting the words “paid the adjudicated amount to the claimant” in subsection (3) and substituting the words “paid the adjudicated amount to the authorised nominating body”; and
by inserting, immediately after the word “claimant” in subsection (5)(a)(i), the words “or the respondent, as the case may be”.
