Regulation 3

For the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of “fixed installation works” in section 2(1) of the Act and subject to paragraph (2), the works set out in the second or third column of the First Schedule are prescribed as major alteration or replacement works for the corresponding fixed installation set out opposite in the first column of that Schedule.

Despite paragraph (1), replacing a part of a fixed installation with a part of the same design and specifications does not constitute major alteration or replacement works for the fixed installation.
