reg 1Citation and commencement

These Regulations are the Casino Control (Casino Layout) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 and, except for regulation 2(d), come into operation on 21 September 2026.

reg 2Amendment of regulation 2

In the Casino Control (Casino Layout) Regulations 2009 (G.N. No. S 430/2009), in regulation 2 —

(a)

in the definition of “ancillary area”, in paragraph (j), replace “the conduct or playing of games” with “the conduct of or any participation in casino gambling or promotional games”;

(b)

in the definition of “back‑of‑house facility”, replace “games” with “casino gambling”;

(c)

in the definition of “gaming pit”, replace “the games” with “casino gambling”; and

(d)

in the definition of “registered surveyor”, replace “(Cap. 156)” with “1991”.

reg 3Replacement of regulation 3

In the Casino Control (Casino Layout) Regulations 2009, replace regulation 3 with —“Use of ancillary area3.—

(1)

Casino gambling must not be conducted or allowed to be participated in in any ancillary area.

(2)

No other game may be conducted or allowed to be played in any ancillary area, except a promotional game in accordance with an approval under section 170A(1) of the Act.”.
