In the principal Regulations, in regulation 12 —(a)after paragraph (1), insert —“(1A) A licence continues in force until whichever of the following happens first:(a)the expiry of such period as is specified in the licence;(b)the licence is cancelled;(c)the licensee, by written notice, surrenders the licence to the Authority;(d)the licence ceases to be valid by reason of paragraph (2) or (3).(1B) Despite paragraph (1A)(a), if an application mentioned in regulation 19(1) or (1A) is made to renew a licence before the expiry of the licence, the current licence continues in force until a renewed licence is issued or that application is refused.”;(b)in paragraph (2), replace sub‑paragraph (b) with —“(b)when the casino operator of the casino specified in the licence submits to the Authority a notification under regulation 15(1)(a) in respect of that licensee.”; and(c)replace paragraph (3) with —“(3) A Category C2 licence ceases to be valid when the casino operator of the casino specified in the licence submits to the Authority a notification under regulation 15(1)(b) in respect of that licensee.”.

reg 8Amendment of regulation 12

In the principal Regulations, in regulation 12 —

(a)

after paragraph (1), insert —“(1A) A licence continues in force until whichever of the following happens first:

(a)

the expiry of such period as is specified in the licence;

(b)

the licence is cancelled;

(c)

the licensee, by written notice, surrenders the licence to the Authority;

(d)

the licence ceases to be valid by reason of paragraph (2) or (3).

(1B)

Despite paragraph (1A)(a), if an application mentioned in regulation 19(1) or (1A) is made to renew a licence before the expiry of the licence, the current licence continues in force until a renewed licence is issued or that application is refused.”;

(b)

in paragraph (2), replace sub‑paragraph (b) with —“(b)when the casino operator of the casino specified in the licence submits to the Authority a notification under regulation 15(1)(a) in respect of that licensee.”; and

(c)

replace paragraph (3) with —“(3) A Category C2 licence ceases to be valid when the casino operator of the casino specified in the licence submits to the Authority a notification under regulation 15(1)(b) in respect of that licensee.”.
