49. Amount payable on death or incapacity of insured person

(1)

Where an insured person dies at any time during the period he or she is insured under the Scheme, the insured sum must, upon proof of death, be paid by the Board or an appointed insurer (as the case may be) in accordance with the prescribed requirements.

(2)

Where there is a claim made under the Scheme by an insured person on the ground of incapacity at any time during the period he or she is insured under the Scheme, the insured sum must, upon proof of incapacity, be paid to him or her by the Board or an appointed insurer (as the case may be) in accordance with the prescribed requirements.
