Age limit of collector of fund-raising appeal for foreign charitable purpose
Subregulation 1
No person below the age of 16 years (referred to in this regulation as a minor) shall conduct a fund-raising appeal for a foreign charitable purpose without the permission of the Commissioner.
Subregulation 2
No person shall cause or authorise a minor to conduct or participate in a fund-raising appeal for a foreign charitable purpose, unless the minor has been granted permission under paragraph (1) to conduct or participate in the fund-raising appeal, as the case may be.
Subregulation 3
Any person who contravenes paragraph (2) shall be guilty of an offence.
Subregulation 4
A person who is guilty of an offence under paragraph (3) shall be liable on conviction —
to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 years or to both; and
in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine not exceeding $100 for every day or part of a day during which the offence continues after conviction.
