(1)
Any person to whom any information relating to a child or young person has been disclosed to the person by the Director‑General or a protector in the performance of any duty or the exercise of any power by the person, must not disclose the information to another person unless the disclosure has been authorised by the Director‑General or protector, as the case may be.

Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000.[87A
