Calculation of ADL payable

Subregulation 1

For the purposes of section 87A(3)(b) of the Act, the ADL payable in respect of air passenger tickets that cover a chargeable flight is whichever of the following as is applicable:

(a)

if the chargeable flight begins anytime in July 2018 — 20% of the amount calculated in accordance with the base formula;

(b)

if the chargeable flight begins anytime in August 2018 — 50% of the amount calculated in accordance with the base formula;

(c)

if the chargeable flight begins anytime in September 2018 — 65% of the amount calculated in accordance with the base formula;

(d)

if the chargeable flight begins anytime in October, November or December 2018 — 80% of the amount calculated in accordance with the base formula;

(e)

if the chargeable flight begins anytime in 2019 or later — the amount calculated in accordance with the base formula.

Subregulation 2

For the purposes of this paragraph, in relation to a chargeable flight, the base formula is where —

(a)

A is $10.80;

(b)

B is $3.00;

(c)

CP is the total number of chargeable passengers carried on that chargeable flight who are neither transit passengers nor transfer passengers; and

(d)

TCP is the total number of chargeable passengers carried on that chargeable flight who are transit passengers or transfer passengers.
