93. Composition

A board of inquiry consists of one or more persons who must be appointed by the Minister.
(2)
Where a board of inquiry consists of more than one person, the Minister must appoint one of the members to be the chairperson.
(3)
Where a board of inquiry consists of one member only, he or she is to be vested with the powers of chairperson.

“member” means an officer or a serviceman of the Force, and includes a volunteer ex‑NSman or an auxiliary member;
(4)
Members of a board of inquiry need not necessarily be members of the Force.

“Force” means the Singapore Civil Defence Force raised and maintained in accordance with the provisions of this Act;
