Community Disputes Resolution (Limitation of Powers and Duties) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 is Singapore Subsidiary Legislation, cited as Subsidiary Legislation S582 2026, currently marked in force and first recorded in 2026.
Citation and commencement
These Regulations are the Community Disputes Resolution (Limitation of Powers and Duties) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 and come into operation on 1 September 2026.
New regulation 1A
In the Community Disputes Resolution (Limitation of Powers and Duties) Regulations 2025 (G.N. No. S 186/2025) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), after regulation 1, insert —“Definition1A. In these Regulations, “specified powers and duties” means the powers and duties of the Director‑General, Directors, Deputy Directors, Senior Assistant Directors, community relations officers and auxiliary community relations officers in the following provisions of the Act:
section 13I(1)(a) to (k), (m) and (n) and (2) to (5) (powers of community relations officers);
section 13J(1)(a) to (h) and (2) to (5) (powers of auxiliary community relations officers);
section 13L (powers to issue and enforce abatement orders).”.
Amendment of regulation 2
In the principal Regulations, in regulation 2 —
in the regulation heading, replace “powers and duties” with “specified powers and duties”; and
replace “powers and duties of the Director‑General, Directors, Deputy Directors, Senior Assistant Directors, community relations officers and auxiliary community relations officers” with “specified powers and duties”.
Amendment of regulation 3
In the principal Regulations, in regulation 3 —
in the regulation heading, replace “powers and duties” with “specified powers and duties”; and
in paragraph (1), replace “powers and duties in Part 2A (other than sections 13K and 13M) of the Act of the Director‑General, Directors, Deputy Directors, Senior Assistant Directors, community relations officers and auxiliary community relations officers” with “specified powers and duties”.
Deletion of regulation 4
In the principal Regulations, delete regulation 4.
