Clause 1
Short title and commencement
This Act may be cited as the Criminal Procedure Code (Amendment) Act 1984 and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.

Section 54 of the Criminal Procedure Code is amended by inserting, immediately after the word “Malaysia” wherever it appears, the words “or Brunei Darussalam”.
