Citation and commencement
These Regulations are the Criminal Procedure Code (Corrective Training and Preventive Detention) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 and come into operation on 17 August 2026.

Citation and commencement
These Regulations are the Criminal Procedure Code (Corrective Training and Preventive Detention) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 and come into operation on 17 August 2026.
Amendment of regulation 1
In the Criminal Procedure Code (Corrective Training and Preventive Detention) Regulations 2010 (G.N. No. S 803/2010) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), in regulation 1, replace “Criminal Procedure Code” with “Prisons”.
Amendment of regulation 7
In the principal Regulations, in regulation 7(1)(a), before “corporal punishment”, insert “except for the aggravated prison offence mentioned in regulation 9(f),”.
Amendment of regulation 10
In the principal Regulations, in regulation 10(2)(b), before “corporal punishment”, insert “except for the aggravated prison offence mentioned in regulation 9(f),”.
Amendment of regulation 23
In the principal Regulations, in regulation 23(1)(b) and (c), before “corporal punishment”, insert “except for the aggravated prison offence mentioned in regulation 9(f),”.
Miscellaneous amendments
In the principal Regulations —
in regulation 2, delete the definitions of “Commissioner”, “prison” and “Superintendent”;
in regulation 2, in the definition of “Visiting Justices”, replace “Prisons Act” with “Act”; and
in regulation 16(2), replace “Prisons Act (Cap. 247)” with “Act”.
