These Regulations are the Cross-Border Railways (Prescribed Bilateral Railway Agreement) Regulations 2026 and come into operation on 1 October 2026.

reg 2Prescribed bilateral railway agreement

The agreement between the Government of the Republic of Singapore and the Government of Malaysia concerning the Johor Bahru — Singapore Rapid Transit System Link signed on 16 January 2018, and as amended by the Amending Letters to the agreement dated 30 July 2020 (also known as the Rapid Transit System Link Bilateral Agreement) is prescribed as a bilateral railway agreement for the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of “bilateral railway agreement” in section 2 of the Act.
