Power to appoint sub-committees
(1)
The Council may appoint from among its members a Standing General Purposes Sub‑committee and determine the number of members and the functions of the sub‑committee.
(2)
In addition to the Standing General Purposes Sub‑committee the Council may, subject to any directions of the Minister, appoint such and so many other sub‑committees consisting either wholly or partly of members of the Council as the Council thinks fit.
(3)
The Council may delegate to the Standing General Purposes Sub‑committee or to any sub‑committee appointed under subsection (2) such of its functions as the Council thinks fit for the purposes for which the sub‑committee was appointed.
(4)
The Director-General or such other person as he may from time to time appoint shall be a member of every sub‑committee appointed under subsection (2).
