(1)
Notwithstanding anything in this Act, the Director‑General may in his discretion and for special reasons issue a permit to any person to teach as an unregistered teacher.

The permit issued under subsection (1) may be cancelled at any time by notice in writing under the hand of the Director‑General served on the holder thereof.
