30. Production of documents, etc.
Feedback & supportThe Controller or an authorised officer has, for the purposes of the execution of this Act, power to do all or any of the following:

“Controller” means the Controller appointed under section 27(1) and includes a Deputy Controller or an Assistant Controller appointed under section 27(3);
(a)
require the production of any identification document from any person in relation to any offence under this Act;
(b)
make such inquiry as may be necessary to ascertain whether the provisions of this Act have been complied with.
