These Rules are the Endangered Species (Import and Export) (Composition of Offences) Rules 2008.
Compoundable offences
The following offences may be compounded by the Director‑General in accordance with section 25 of the Act:
any offence under section 4(1), 5(4), 8(4), 13(3), 15D(4), 16(b) or 17(1) or (2) of the Act;
any offence under section 19 of the Act, where the offence referred to in that section as being abetted or attempted is a compoundable offence under paragraph (a).
