10. Amendment of section 30A

In the Electricity Act, in section 30A, replace the definition of “designated entity” with —“ “designated entity” means an entity, not being an electricity licensee —

that owns a transmission system (or any part of a transmission system); or

which the Authority is satisfied —

will engage in (but has not yet commenced engaging in); or

is engaging in,an activity mentioned in section 6(1) that is critical to Singapore’s energy security and reliability,and is declared by the Minister to be a designated entity for the purposes of this Part;”.
