These Regulations are the Enlistment (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2001.
Composition of offences
The following offences may be compounded by the proper authority in accordance with section 34 of the Act:
any offence under —
section 4(2) or 32(3) or (4) of the Act; or
section 33, read with section 4(1), 5, 6, 9, 10(1) or (2) or 32(1) or (2), of the Act;
any offence under regulation 40, read with regulation 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 33 or 35, of the Enlistment Regulations 1970; and
any offence under regulation 10 of the Enlistment (Exit Permit) Regulations 1975.
Offer and acceptance of composition
An offer by the proper authority to compound any offence may be made in such form as the proper authority may provide.
Where the proper authority offers to compound any offence upon payment of a specified sum, the person to whom the offer is made may accept the offer by —
paying the sum —
by cash, cheque, money order or postal order; or
through an electronic funds transfer system approved by the proper authority,within the time specified and to the person, office or account designated; and
providing such particulars as may be specified in the form provided by the proper authority for this purpose.
