Clause 59

Any person who permits a house to be so overcrowded as to be injurious or dangerous to the health of the inhabitants shall be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars, and the Magistrate’s Court hearing the complaint may make a nuisance order under section 52 of this Act, notwithstanding that the notice prescribed by section 51 of this Act has not been given.

Any person who fails to comply with such a nuisance order shall be liable to be dealt with under section 52 of this Act.
