Registration as Environmental Control Coordinator for specified premises
Subregulation 1
The Director‑General may, subject to any condition that the Director‑General thinks fit to impose, register an applicant mentioned in regulation 3 as an Environmental Control Coordinator for any specified premises if the Director‑General is satisfied that —
the applicant —
has been certified under the Workplace Literacy and Numeracy framework to have a proficiency level of at least 5 in the areas of reading, listening, speaking and writing; or
has such other qualifications and practical experience that renders the applicant competent to act as an Environmental Control Coordinator for any specified premises;
the applicant has, within 5 years before the date on which the application is made, attended and passed any training courses specified by the Director-General for the purpose of the registration; and
the applicant is of good character and reputation.
Subregulation 2
When an individual is registered as an Environmental Control Coordinator for any specified premises, the Director‑General must issue to the individual, in the form and manner the Director‑General determines, a certificate of registration that states —
the full name of the individual; and
the unique registration number assigned to the individual for the registration.
Subregulation 3
The registration of an Environmental Control Coordinator for any specified premises is valid for a period of 3 years.
