Clause 29

The principal Act is hereby amended by inserting immediately after section 88 thereof the following new section: —“Power to compound offences88A. The Chief Inspector may compound any offence under this Act by accepting from the person reasonably suspected of committing such offence a sum of money not exceeding two hundred dollars.”.
