Amendment of section 12

Section 12 of the principal Ordinance is hereby amended —

(i)

by deleting the full-stop appearing at the end of subsection (2) thereof and substituting therefor a colon, and by adding thereto the following proviso: —“Provided that the provisions of this subsection shall not apply to sums issued from the Consolidated Fund to meet the cost of any statutory expenditure charged upon the Consolidated Fund which is —

(a)

authorised by law to be met from moneys accounted in the Consolidated Loan Account; and

(b)

withdrawn from the Consolidated Fund in accordance with the provisions of subsection (4) of this section.”; and

(ii)

by inserting immediately after the word “any” appearing in the fourth line of subsection (4) thereof the word “written”.
