17A. Protection from personal liability

No liability shall lie personally against any officer of customs or other person acting under the direction of the Director-General for anything done or intended to be done in good faith and with reasonable care in —

Defined · s 2
“officer of customs”, “proper officer of customs” and “senior officer of customs” have the same meanings as in the Customs Act 1960.
(a)
the exercise or purported exercise of any power under this Act; or
(b)
the performance or purported performance of any function under this Act.
