Section 16
(1)
Subject to subsection (2), a licence shall be in force for a period of one year, with effect from the date of its issue.
(2)
A licence that has been renewed in accordance with the provisions of this Part shall continue in force for a period of one year next succeeding the date upon which but for its renewal it would have expired.
