Duties of registered renovation contractor
Subregulation 1
A registered renovation contractor who is engaged to carry out any renovation works in an HDB flat shall ensure that —
where prior written approval is required for such renovation works, a renovation permit has been obtained to carry out those works;
the renovation works are carried out in accordance with —
the Board’s conditions or guidelines, if any, for those renovation works; and
any requirements of relevant authorities under written law relating to those renovation works; and
he complies with all the terms and conditions of his registration as a registered renovation contractor.
Subregulation 2
A registered renovation contractor who contravenes paragraph (1)(a) or (b) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000.
