Feedback & supportLast amended by an amending law of 2023.
A person who is the subject of a prohibition order made under section 43(1) may, on the payment of such fee as may be prescribed, apply to the Director‑General for the prohibition order to be reviewed.
On receipt of an application under subsection (1), the Director‑General may revoke the prohibition order where the Director‑General is satisfied that the grounds on which the prohibition order was made no longer apply or have substantially changed, subject to such terms and conditions as the Director‑General thinks fit to impose.
In determining the terms and conditions to be imposed upon the revocation of a prohibition order, the Director‑General must have regard to —
the character and fitness of the applicant to conduct human biomedical research or tissue banking activities; and
any other matter which the Director‑General considers relevant.
No application to review a prohibition order under subsection (1) may be made to the Director‑General —
before the expiry of 12 months after the date on which the prohibition order was published in the Gazette; and
more than once in any continuous period of 3 years.
