27. Offences in relation to removal of organ

No person is to remove any organ from the body of a deceased person for the purpose mentioned in section 4(1) except pursuant to the authority given under Part 2.

“organ” means —(a)except as provided in paragraph (b), any organ of a human body specified in the First Schedule; and(b)for the purposes of Parts 4 and 4A, any organ of a human body;

Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.[17
