Regulation 2

Definitions

In this Notification —“fishing vessel” has the same meaning as in the Fisheries Act (Cap. 111);“passenger ferry” means a vessel which carries passengers from regional ports to Singapore and vice versa;“passenger vessel” means a vessel which has —

(a)

a definite and fixed estimated time of arrival and estimated time of departure; and

(b)

accommodation cabins for passengers;“pleasure craft” has the same meaning as in the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (Pleasure Craft) Regulations (Cap. 170A, Rg 6);“yacht” means a vessel which is used exclusively for pleasure purposes and for the use of which a passenger, if any, is not charged a separate and distinct fare.
