Infectious Diseases Act 1976 (Amendment of First and Second Schedules) Notification 2026

This Notification is the Infectious Diseases Act 1976 (Amendment of First and Second Schedules) Notification 2026 and comes into operation on 31 October 2026.

In the Infectious Diseases Act 1976, in the First Schedule —

after item 9, insert —“10. Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic Fever”;

replace item 14 with —“14. Ebola Disease”;

after item 17, insert —“17A. Lassa Fever”; and

after item 21, insert —“21A. Marburg Virus Disease”.

In the Infectious Diseases Act 1976, in the Second Schedule —

before item 2, insert —“1. Crimean‑Congo Haemorrhagic Fever”; and

replace item 2 with —“2. Ebola Disease2A. Lassa Fever2B. Marburg Virus Disease”.
