38. Person supplying food and water
Feedback & supportThe master, owner or agent of every vessel and any person supplying food and water to the vessel must ensure that the food and water supplied to the vessel is fit for human consumption.

“master”, in relation to a vessel, means the person for the time being in charge or command of the vessel;
The master, owner or any person in charge of a vessel or vehicle employed for carrying food or water intended for human consumption must ensure that the vessel or vehicle and the food and water receptacles therein are in a clean and sanitary condition.

“owner”, in relation to any premises or vessel, means the person for the time being receiving the rent of the premises or vessel whether on the person’s own account or as agent, trustee or receiver or who would receive the same if the premises or the vessel were let or chartered;
Any person who contravenes this section shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000.
